Why there will never be peace between ISRAEL AND PALESTINE

Wait. Wait. I don’t mean to sound so downbeat with that Title. I’m just a little black girl with a dream. Prepping for my future articles for The Daily Nation, The Diplomat, Forbes et cetera.

Aha.. mastering the art of CONFESSING TO POSSESS. You should try it too.

Dear Reader, Please note that not all the italicized words should be taken seriously. Also, any sarcastic statements should be taken on a light note.

Yours, Joan

OK, Let’s Talk Conflict!

I’ll brief you in case you have no idea of what has been happening in the Middle-east for the past couple of decades. (definitely not trying to insinuate your ignorance with the edit)

Israel and Palestine  have been at war with each other for a good number of years. Some say it begun Before Christ, but that’s just another group of persons without concrete facts!

(I know, I know. That’s just the unwritten rule of writing, ‘lay it out with Authority & Arrogance’.)

I’m kidding.

Israel, a noticeably small country, one with a sea that needs to flow into a casket (get it? Dead Sea… bury? casket?), Capital-Jerusalem (You probably already knew that considering the 999 letters you’ve sent God addressed to Jerusalem. Not judging!)  is as we speak not really ‘stable’ as some may put it. The state of the nation has been precarious since it’s formation.

You may be aware of its relation to Judaism and Christianity. (I shall take it upon myself toˈejəˌkāt you on the difference between the two in a future post )

Well, without shoving much History at you, a time came (years back) when it was a Jewish belief that Judaism was more than a religion. The Jews believed that it should be a Nationality. Thousands of them migrated from all over Europe with the hope of living without persecution and also endeavoring to see The wish for a Jewish nation turn into reality.

The settlement actually came to be as a result of the United Nations decision that the Palestinian land be divided into a Jewish state and an Arab state. The Palestinians (Many of whom I believe were indigenous inhabitants of the area were not at all pleased with the decision). On the other hand the Israelis accepted their partition thus forming the state of Israel.middle-east

NOW that’s WHEN the drama begun unfolding.

The Palestinians rejected their partition and attacked Israel with the support of the armies of all Arab states: Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, trans Jordan and Egypt.

SURPRISINGLY, Israel won the war. (The word is actually ‘survived‘)

Israel’s win led many Palestinians to flee the country and the few that were left ended up second class citizens in the West Bank and at the Gaza strip.

Heard of the great wall of Israel? Well, that’s a story for another day.

I know the issue Is bigger than ‘Us taking sides’and even if that were not the case, many would not fancy my inclination to side with Israel BUT hear me out!

The ‘whole world’ turned against the Jewish nation once it was formed. That is enough evidence for the lengths it has gone to protect itself. Sad fact: The Jews in Israel are to date receiving special privileges. There is almost no place for the Palestinians. I’m talking, real unequal systems in the Israeli soil! The Israelis have domination over water, the right to housing, agricultural land, the list is endless!

The Palestinians (most of them) and others (some Arabs and Muslims) want the Israelis dead. They are known for their famous 3 NOs: No Recognition, No Peace, No Negotiation. They do not want to recognize the Jewish state and even after numerous peace talks have no intentions of living in peace with Israelis. Neither as one state nor as two ‘happy’ separate states.

That explains the title of my post!

(Yeah, JUST BITTER about a situation I don’t think I can change in any way)

I mean, In 2000 they offered to give away a good portion of land to the Palestinians to end the conflict and in response the Palestinians sent suicide bombers to Israel.Wow!

Israel is forced to protect itself because as much as it wants to continue existing as a Jewish state & to live in peace, it will not last 24 hours before it is entirely destroyed(fact). It therefore struggles to obtain maximum land (more about it in the great wall of Israel post) which of course displaces more Palestinians.

GLOBAL MOVEMENTS HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED AIMING TO STOP ISRAEL FROM VIOLATING PALESTINIAN HUMAN RIGHTS. You know, because refugees came into Israel (remember how it all began? Jews fleeing persecution and at the same time excited to form their nation. Yes.) and caused another refugee problem (Palestinians being displaced and the Jews continuing to expand their presence in Israel)

I could go on and on. The issue is certainly more complex than I have written about. Probably even more complex than I comprehend.

But really, if the ill-minded parties do not retract from destroying an entire nation because their forefathers were displaced, no one-state compromise, no two separate states compromise, no letting go? Then  I don’t really know where we are headed. Well at least I know it’s not toward PEACE.

  • If you got to the End of this post you must be so cool! lol. Say Hi in the comments Section (no pressure)

  1. Israel will forever have God by their side and fighting for them.Call it a religious fallacy but be sure ,He never left them and he never will.It is, in my humble view, the most lethal country in the world.

    1. Now that you have mentioned it… I think some of my many question can be answered by that. I know their military is so advanced but it has to be more than that! A higher power. God.

      Thanks cool person.
